Talkshops
Rethinking Cities hosts a variety of events for professionals working in the fields of the built environment, public health and transport. They provide a forum for professionals to meet and discuss topical issues - in as much they are Talkshops:
- Conversations on Future Lifestyles are intimate meetings limited to 10 people in which topics are introduced by a guest speaker.
- Talk the Walk are networking meetings limited to 40 people which provide quick fire introductions to a range of issues and initiatives and the people behind them.
Writing Wall Workshops (a Talk the Walk extension) are an entertaining way to rapidly brainstorm solutions for today's ever more complex problems.
- Walking Geographies are walkabout events bringing community champions and professionals together to "show and tell" how they are working towards people's greater understanding of their local neighbourhoods.
Since Summer 2011 the programme was extended to include a number of After Work Walks.
In 2013 we launched Weaving Wellbeing Walkshops and a series of walks investigating social media, smartphone apps and GPS.
